In celebration of Singapore’s 61st National Day, the Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra (ACSO) presents Singapore Unsung – a heartfelt musical tribute to the everyday heroes whose dedication, resilience and sacrifice helped build our nation.
From the pioneering spirit of the Samsui women and early generations to the service of nurses, firefighters and teachers, the contributions of migrant workers, and the custodians of our rich cultural heritage, this inspiring concert shines a spotlight on the people whose stories are often overlooked, yet whose impact is deeply felt.
Featuring music by Singapore composers including Cultural Medallion recipient Jeremy Monteiro, Young Artist Award recipient Wang Chenwei, Terrence Wong, Syafiqah Adha, Germaine Goh, Darius Lim and Ralph Emmanuel Lim, the programme includes four world-premiere compositions written specially for this occasion. From the stirring Samsui Woman (三水红头巾) and Everyday Guardians: Three Portraits of Service to Pillars of Strength and the multicultural choral-orchestral work Between Heaven and Earth, audiences will experience powerful stories of courage, service and belonging through music.
Join ACSO as we honour Singapore’s unsung heroes and celebrate the spirit, diversity and resilience that continue to shape our nation.
Discover the stories. Celebrate the heroes. Experience Singapore through music.
